ive got to say that i am a big meat eater i love it, but im one of those people who ignores where its come from (if you know what i mean) i see the meat not he animal. thats not meant to sound as bad as it does. i have a very dear friend who is vegan. she is in her mid 60's and she doesnt look a day over 45 and she is fitter than i am.
i dont often eat red meat anymore because mick doesnt eat it so i love going out for meals lol

I dont like beef, but eat all other meat. My favourite is lamb.
Alex does a lovely meal using quorn pieces. He marinades them in honey, soy sauce and lemon which tastes so yummy and serves it with rice and veg. Its one of my favourite meals.

That meal works better with Quorn than it does real chicken...I think because the Quorn pieces are sort of porous and spongier than chicken, so they soak up more of the marinade. I also put the lemon zest in the meal too; I've got a zester gadget thingy that I bought in Ikea and it pleases me greatly ;D

We had my brother and sister-in-law stay with us last weekend who are devout carnivores. I cooked a non-meat version of lasagna one night and a chili the other and they were so impressed with Quorn they are going to use it themselves now. They are very health conscious and were equally impressed with it being so low in cholesterol

Quorn sausages are good too. I did some Quorn pieces with honey and soy sauce for Kaz' lunch - quick, easy, and satisfying.

Quorn Sausages are something i really like.. Zoe, Becky, Darren and myself went out for a meal last night... i had a lovely piece of Haddock whilst the meat eaters had Steak. Must say the longer its getting since ive eaten a fellow mammal the less i miss it.

I could probably cope without eating meat, as long as I did not have to give up cheese...

Veg and pasta Sharon, you can't wrong there.
It's odd that, isn't it Micki. All those years ago I remember the same thing happened to me. You get to a stage where even the sight of meat is repulsive. I agree it does say something. People often think that being a veggie is giving something (flesh) up. I look at it as gaining new tastes and flavours and dishes as well as gaining good health.
