I saw this on the news last night and it's digusting! The people went round there, and must have relised - But of course, never did anything! Then they wonder why it actually happens? It's such a shame, that poor little boy really didn't deserve it either - I bet he didn't do anything wrong. What bullies - Hope they get what they serve in prison.

That so-called mother should be operated on so that she will never have another child!! Makes me so angry that people like her, who are cruel to their kids can have babies, yet there are many who are desperate to have a child and can't!! Wait and see, she will be out by Xmas and Social Services will make sure that she is given everything that is going!! All to her benefit!! I watched to of the women who had responsibility for that case - one did apologise but the other one was arrogant and didn't say she was sorry!! www.truveo.com/Council-slammed-over-tots-death-ITV-NEWS/id/3176296666That is a news video of it. It is so sad. How on earth did Social Services not take that child from her. There is something far wrong and heads should roll. I don't see why those two - the mother and boyfriend - can't be identified - name them, show them, shame them. You are right Sharon - bring back the hanging. May the wee baby P Rest in Peace. At least he is out of his misery, poor wee lamb.

I dont watch the news very often and me mam told me about this and i read about it today and was in tears! I cant believe how people can do such things, they all should be locked up and tortured until the day they die!!! I cant believe more wasnt done either! Its awful that such things can happen and nothing be done about it!! Think all involved should be named and shamed too, think its damn right wrong that they are protectin them, they deserve everything that will come to the sick b*******

Social Services should be investigated!! It seems Baby P isn't the only one that was on the At Risk Register and the SS never did anything!! I say that when Social Services are called out more than once to a house where children are reportedly to me mistreated/abused, then the children should automatically be removed from their homes and placed with people who would look after them. It is once again the story of the wrong-doers being better looked after than those who are abused, such as the wee innocent babies and children!!
Disgraceful. I agree with what you said Paige - these people should be tortured every day until they die!! They aren't fit to breath.

it amazes me.. ive got clients who have children on the at risk register and work so hard to get them taken off. they jump thru hoops. then u get tragedies like this. sometimes i think social services target the wrong people.

You are right there, Micki. They do target the wrong people!! Time for change - they should root all of the "top ranks" and get rid of them. They are too set in their ways and will not admit they are failing the abused children. A waste of tax payers money!!

Haringey were also in the news about 8 years ago because this happened to another child that they had been to see and did nothing about. There were new rules and regs brought in after that incident, but they obviously didnt pay any regard to them.
I think also that the police had requested that baby P be removed from the family home last july.

Yes, you are correct, Karan, on the news this moring, the announcer said the police had been called but Haringey had stopped the action. Then a foster home was found and again, Haringey stepped in and refused!! I think Haringey Social Services should be all given the sack and a new Social Services team set up. Also, new laws brought in whereby the police can over-rule any Social Services who refuse to let the police interevene!!
Haringey Social Services are responsible for the baby's death just as much as those who actually carried out all that cruelty to the baby. They are guilty of murder, no matter what way anyone looks at it, the baby was murdered and Haringey failed to protect the child. Too many "do-gooders" running that department.

I think that that is a good idea Rose to set up a new group of social workers.

I also think the police should have over-ruling powers in such cases. Perhaps if the police had powers like that, then Baby P may still be alive today.
So sad that a little innocent baby, who never asked to be born, had to suffer at the hands of those evil people and to continue suffering even with the so-called Haringey Council Social Services, being involved! They are every bit as guilty as the evil three! That woman who is in charge, should be charged as well by the police.
