I know that I for one feel very strongly about animal cruelty and get very upset whenever I hear about any cases.... my mum's dog was a cruelty case and it took over £1,000 to get him right, although even now he does still have problems. Jet's story hit the local headlines in our area.... he was found half starved and tied up outside with razor wire wrapped around his nose to stop him from barking . I still get very upset when I think about what this poor dog has gone through in his life - he was only 18 months old when he was found. He is, today a beautiful, friendly and very loving dog who still bears the scars around his nose of what was done to him (the fur has grown back, however it is white) So anyway.. back to my main point - HOW can they just fine these people and ban them from keeping animals? are they going to check up on them to ensure they don't get any? I doubt it... I think they should be locked up! If it was a human it would be a different case altogether... an animal still has feelings, still feels pain, still needs love and affection. For some of us our pets are our children! There.... rant over.

They should be sentenced as though it was a human they treated like that. Animals should have the same rights as humans. They don't ask to be taken by some of the so-called owners. The law is a farce!!
Your Mum's dog must have gone thru' hell and back but thankfully he found such a loving forever home and family. Bless him.
Take care.

What people forget is that it's the same life force that courses through every living creature on the planet. We should all feel an affinity with every other living creature.

I couldn't agree more but the sad thing I doubt the law will change. We will just carry on getting frustrated hearing more and more of cruelty to animals with no real justice done to those inflicting it. Think about it. You have animal rights groups doing all they can to bring cruel practices to the foreground yet given half he chance the law locks THEM up.

That is so true, Lyn, and these groups have been trying for many many years to stop the cruelty and nothing gets done. It is dreadful. Even the RSPCA and SSPCA don't do a damned thing. Shameful.

i agree lisa these people should be strung up by the balls sorry peeps but itreally angers me when they can do that to a poor animal my little molly is frightened of sticks because her previous owner i am told used to beat her with them so she goes bonkers when she sees old folk with walking sticks i have to explain to them why so they don't think she is aggressive as she is not fa from it

its sad but to some people animals have no real value and the life of an animal means nothing... for some reason they must think animals dont have the same feelings that we do.

I'm not an angry man, except for things such as these. Now see, I might make an exception if I saw such cruelty first-hand.
