There are so many people that are freaking out about this. If you go on U tube there are all sorts of conspiracy theories out there. My co-workers ex-husband (and yes this is one of the reasons she divorced him) is/was obsessed with it. He believes that the goverment is behind the whole 2012 conspiracy and they are going to put us all in concentration camps. He also believes aliens are going go come out the core of our earth. But if it interested you look it up it's kinda entertaining. Just don't believe everything you read! ;D I agree with Micki hopefully it will just be a normal day.

the alien thing is an interesting one, if you believe in Aliens that is.. The mascots for the 2012 Games ares interesting in this respect.
Lindsey you are absolutely right, theres been natural disasters for as long as man has been around but the evidence is they have never been as frequent as now... global warming hasnt been as serious as it is now either... The dinosaurs saw many natural disasters until the one came that wiped them out, so i think its a bit blinkered to assume we'll be ok forever.
The thing that interests me about this is the "fact" that the galactic alignment has never occurred during the time of mankind and it is known to cause possible problem, potentially massive.
I dont agree with the approach that if we can change something we shouldnt worry about it. if we took that approach to the damage in the ozone layer where would that get us? we can't fix it but we can help reduce further damage by being aware of it and by being worried about it.
Anyway i sincerely hope it will just be a normal day... if it isnt we're all ******

i'm very difficult to convince any 'doomsday' prophecy is going to happen. i don't want to go thinking we've only got 2 years to live.

i dont either Lindsey. if it was a prophecy i wouldnt be to worried. but im kinda concerned with the alignment that we know is going to happen, and what impact that may have on the planet. Whether immediately or as a beginning of a chain of events.
the land mass being shifted is worrying. Siberia used to lay around the equator... more and more mammoth carcasses are being found. The flesh being very fresh, indicating it hadnt started to rot before being frozen. Some still have food in their mouths suggesting that they were overcome and frozen almost before they knew what had happened.

Well - if it happens, it'll sort the money worries out.
I can't help but be flippant about it on some level but you need only look at the news from Indonesia today for a timely reminder that the frequency of severe natural disasters is, as Micki points out, increasing apace.

Perhaps if the countries that send space crafts up to space would stop doing so, it wouldn't happen!

I Used to know an old lady who used to blame space craft and planes as well Rose. But I think the natural disasters are more nature than anything. Hope we're all still here on the 22nd.
