We were told that at school that they were the originals!! We were also taught that the Indians walked to the Americas and that was how the "Red" Indians came to be! All continents were supposed to have been able to walk to before the sea levels started to rise!
Good one Donna!

Ok now I don't know how....but I've always felt it in my being. I've felt it when I was a very young person, the first time I read Robert O' Roarke novels, seen the Africa Queen movie. The novels brought out the color of Africa in my head the movies gave me the visual. I never heard the theory at school nor churches, the churches tend to have you believe everything revolves around Jerusalem .And certainly not in my home...My dad was a very bad bigot at that time.To even suggest that he came from Africa with the black people would merit a black eye & bloody nose... I've had my share as I was very young Martin Luther King died, but I listened to him on the news while my dad was yelling at the TV not nice stuff...also I objected to the Viet Nam war, at 12 read about Malcolm X, Had a crush on Mohammad Ali, my dad did enjoy watching boxing. I moved out the day after I graduated from High School,,, I believe God made us all different because he is the Grand Creator the 1st artist he Loves color, the world is different shades of green, purples, browns, blues. Even my brown dogs all 3 of them are not the same shades...So why not people? I don't believe all of us were intended to be one color.

It is an interesting article and very believable. What ever the reason for different colour skin, shape of eyes etc I am grateful for all of that. Although my parents are prejudice (I think it's an era thing) I was lucky enough to spend my teens and early twenties just outside Cambridge. I worked in the City and spent most of my 'night-life' there. It is such a cosmopolitan town with the university and the language schools it is full to brimming of every race. I dated a black guy, and an Asian guy (not at the same time). I was friends with a Turkish and a German girl so grew up without a prejudiced thought in my head. I am still surprised at how much prejudice there is in the world and it saddens me. We should be grateful for all the wonderful differences in the races and all their beautiful and colourful customs, ours included. Instead of thinking that all people should be the same and live how we live (like we've got it right - I don't think so) it's far more interesting to learn how others live, how their laws work etc.etc It is all part of life's rich tapestry and to be enjoyed if only folk would let themselves.

The most fun time I had with a man in my youth at 18 yrs old was a man from Wales, he had me laughing. To bad I was to young to commit to marriage at the time. He went home to Wales leaving me with a great memory ;D

Donna it's funny how life turns out isn't it. It's full of what ifs. I once dated a an American Soldier from the Lakenheath USAF Base (gorgeous). Now suppose I'd married him and you married your Welsh boyfriend. I'd be posting here from the USA and you'd be posting from the UK ![:)](http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/ac44/Aija_forum/Smilies/happy1.gif)
