Lisa I am so sorry you have had so much suffering in you family. Cancer is truly awful and for you to have seen so much of it with those so close to you must have taken it's toll.
I'm not sure anyone sympathises with Jade any more than anyone else they know with cancer. For me personally, my heart goes out to every one and anyone who has suffered or who is suffering from a terminal illness.
If keeping in the public eye is helping Jade secure her children's future I can't really criticise that, most mums want the best for their kids. Any TV programs do have an 'off' button so no one is forced to watch it. I find it rather macabra watching someone die in front of the public eye so I don't/wont watch her on the telly, nor do I want to read any details about her life.
From what I have seen of Jade and how she has conducted her life in the past I don't actually like the girl, she has far from been a person to admire, that doesn't stop me sympathising with her.
When I sympathise with her horrible illness it is no more than anyone else who I know or hear of. Nor is it any less.

i agree totally with you lisa it is very annoying that a celebrity should be given all that publicity and help when us mere nobodys to them suffer in silence we are all just a mere statistic to them so you haven't offended me hun

I think it is a crazy decision by Jack Straw, but I have to say I don't think it is any crazier than the decision to let other "famous" people off to varying degrees with criminal behaviour eg footballers in assaults and speeding drink/driving offences, pop stars in the same, drug usage and assault cgharges and yes some do get prosecuted and serve minimal sentences but not by any stretch of the imagination the same sentence that a teenager from an "estae" who has substance abuse issues would - yet the youngster from the estate rarly has the same opportunities that many celebrities have they are often repeating behaviour that has been "acceptable" in preceding generations.
When working with offenders I have personally expoerienced a young guy who was tagged his address was his girlfriends and he had to remain there between 7pm and 7am. He came home early from voluntaruy work to find his girlfriend with another guy, a huge argument broke out (no physical violence) and he left/was thrown out. He went to hios mums (not his pals as would have been so easy for an angry 19 year old to do) and because he broke the conditions of his tag he was given a further addition to his sentence.
Was that fair? Now you or I would have phoned the police or our supervising officer to explain the situation he either did not think of this or had been brought up in a culture of stay as far away from the police as possible and didnt do this. He was tagged for so called victimless crimes eg shoplifting and drug use ie no direct victim so no physical harm. Yet Jades fiance has proved he can be violent and gets special treatment. I am glad for Jade this has happened but I do think it like other celebrity punishments is wrong - so very wrong.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, Lynne, why should he be treated any differently. Others now will want it. If they show favour to him then others should be shown the same.

As much as I sympathise with Jade's terminal illness I most certainly do NOT sympathise with Jack Tweed. There is no way he should have been granted bail, why him and not anyone else who might want it. It's emotional blackmail, can you imagine how so many people would react considering the way the media are presenting the Jade Goody story.

It's fast becoming a circus! Jack Tweed should not have been allowed to have his tag taken off for a night - why could they just have gone to his mother's house - or could they not have transferred whatever it is they do, to Jade Goody's house!! Wait and see, others will try to get their tags off!! It is ridiculous!
As you rightly say, Lyn, it's emotional blackmail!!

Aw so sorry to hear that, Lisa!!
I have heard she is getting tomorrow, and she's being paid a fortune by the magazines and paprazzi to publish it - the money from this, will go to her kid's future, which I think is a decent idea, better than wasting it:)

That is true Karen - just hope the children get it and not Jack Tweed.
