 Kitty Christmas
« Thread Started on Nov 7, 2009, 10:34pm »

am i sad?
does anyone else have similar plans?

well its finally set in Jaffa is here for good and its coming up to his first christmas, well i know i'm soft, i got him a kitty advent calender (cat nip drops and milk drops). also made a christmas stocking and have now filled it with a few treat presents; bag of cat nip drops, bag of chicken biscuit treats, box of cat nip leaves, a new toy on elastic, a vibrating 'turkey' (looks more like a robin to me), a sequined ball and a rubber 'spikey' ball (soft rubber points cover a ball) also mad him a new tassel on string toy.

Aw that is lovely - I saw cat advent calenders in the pet shop today and thought they were good to give a cat a pressy!! I am sure Jaffa's 1st Xmas will be a memorable one with you. He will love all his toys.

Good for you, you are a good Mummy to him.

well all in all its cost bout £10 for his x-mas stuff - all prezzys and calender - so the small euromillions win (£5.80) has paid for a little of it. he's still got 1 x-mas present that i know he wont enjoy, he's getting the snip just before x-mas but i supose the treats from the calender should cheer him up a little - hope he doesn't have to stay in the vets too long, we want our baby boy with us and happy for christmas day, he's getting his prezzies, probably a good bit of x-mas meat and will probably play in the wrapping paper.

Every Christmas I make up a stocking for the animals I know in the neighborhood. They usually get a play toy and treats. It does get expensive, but it is something I really enjoy doing. Last year I got them a stocking for their treats that was over 2 feet long. The stocking said:

On the twelfth day of Christmas my human friend gave to me
Twelve toys for chewing
Eleven hugs for hugging
Ten games of tug
Nine afternoon naps
Eight ear tickles
Seven tummy scratches
Six park play days
Five treats for tricking
Four fancy outfits
Three new teeshirts
Two tasty bones
and a present under the tree..

I just don't know how I am going to be able to outdo last year.

I do that too!! My lot had advent calenders last year and they always get stockings of fun treats! It costs a fortune but I don't mind (too much!!).
My friends now even buy my cats presents as well!! My cats are loved by lots of people!

It will be Cwn Anwwn's first christmas though so it will be interesting to see what he makes of all the decorations! He has destroyed everything in the house so far, so I don't see any reason why the decorations would be any different!! I suppose he will be bigger by then as well!!!

well atleast now if my mum says i've wasted money on the kitty i can show her some of you all do too. i should ask sister for and extra £1 since i spent £10 in the prezzies but i wont.

the presents i have include a shiney ball and box of cat nip i hope will keep Jaffa from attacking the tree and there'll be some one n the house with him most of the time the tree is up so he shouldn't have much chance to destroy it, he'll be too busy fighting his santa hat and cape any way - i know i'm evil but i want a x-mas photo to do a home made calender of Jaffa.

we tried Jaffa's santa suit on him today, he looks sweet in it but will take a few goes to get used to it - by which time he'll probable have grown out of it - cos he doesn't like dressing up - took a while with the halloween cape too.
