A little about Potty About Pets. P.A.P is a pet and community based forum. We opened in October 2007 and pride ourselves on being a friendly, welcoming place with great members and excellent staff that keep the forum running smoothly. The members of P.A.P are the ones who have really made the forum what it is. We have members from all around the globe who contribute to making it a fun and friendly place to be. Ben's Story

Ben a 4year old staffy x whippet, who’s mum has made lot’s of friends at Potty, suffered hind leg paralysis due to Hansens Disc Disease in May 2009. He was rushed to The Glasgow Vet Hospital where the prognosis was bleak, he had lost all sensation from his ribcage back, could not walk, nor relieve himself and he was given a 50% chance of making it through the operation. Several hours after he was admitted his owners received the news he had come through the operation but only time would tell the damage, he had 1 disc completely removed and 3 discs had the insides removed by a process called fenestration, this was to prevent the innards of the discs being squeezed out and causing further damage to the spinal cord. By day 2 he was sitting up and gradually with love and attention he gained strength and went from staggering, to pottering, to walking and can now run again. He still receives Hydrotherapy and acupuncture but has, in the words of the vets "Made a remarkable recovery against all the odds" "The best wishes and love of Potty without a doubt helped him and me" says his proud mum"
